Julio Vincent Gambuto • Writer/Director

Julio earned his MFA in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, with a focus on directing and the business of entertainment. While at USC, he was chosen by the faculty to be the recipient of the prestigious Annenberg Fellowship. In 2013, Julio optioned a reality television concept called Master of the House to Stone and Company Entertainment. The show was sold to E! Entertainment.

Recently, Julio served as a producer and writer on the first and second seasons of Nickelodeon's hit series Paradise Run. He was the co-director of James Franco's Actors Anonymous — now playing at festivals nationwide.

Prior to film school, Julio was an actor and writer in New York. He is a proud graduate of Staten Island Academy and Harvard University.  Learn more about Julio at his website.

Jon Speyers • Director of Photography

Jon grew up with a camera in his hands, in the home of a Dutch artist and painter. Learning to communicate ideas through imagery first began around the dinner table. Jon has filmed in over twenty countries and helped create media for mega brands ranging from Disney to Virgin America. His nonfiction work has aired on CBS, the Discovery Channel and national PBS. He shot his first feature film in 2015 — Actors Anonymous, starring James Franco, Eric Roberts and Beth Grant.


Jon is the recipient of three Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography and is an active member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He holds an MFA in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Thembi L. Banks • Producer

Born in Harlem New York, storytelling has been a part of Thembi’s DNA since she can remember. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia H.S. and recently received her MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Her writing credits include Only Light, a USC thesis project, which won Best Screenplay at the LA Shorts Festival. To date, the film has been an official selection in over a dozen festivals, including The Diversity in Cannes Festival, and won the audience and social impact awards at The One Lens Film Festival. Her film Doors, which she wrote and directed, is currently on the festival circuit and was nominated for Best Student Film at the 2016 Bronzelens Film Festival.


Thembi was featured on WeForShe's 2016 list of the best pilots written by women for the script Unique State of Mind, which she co-wrote with writing partner Rochee Jeffrey. She is currently a 2017 Project Involve Fellow with Film Independent and is a staff writer on Daytime Divas, starring Vanessa Williams, set to premier on VH1 in 2017.

Amanda Milius • Producer

Amanda Milius was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of director/screenwriter John Milius and actress Celia Kaye.  


Amanda spent most of her twenties in New York, where she attended the New School University with a focus on philosophy and film.  During this time Amanda worked as a fashion photographer and in her off-time wrote a string of short films focusing on the counter culture of the 1960s and 70s, and its effect on current society.  


Amanda is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, earning an MFA in Film and Television Production/Directing. Her thesis film, The Lotus Gun, was awarded an Award of Excellence from IndieFest and currently screening at festivals in the US and Europe.
